How we keep
reviews real
Fake reviews are big business — bought five-star bundles, rival one-star pile-ons, bots filling in forms all night. Here's exactly what stands in the way on this page. All of it runs on our server, so nobody can switch it off from their browser.
No copy-paste reviews
We fingerprint the wording of every review. An exact copy, or the same review with a few words swapped, is caught and never published.
One person, one review
Reviews are limited per connection and per device. If a burst of reviews arrives from the same network — the classic review-farm pattern — they're all held for a human to look at.
No adverts, no links
A review is an opinion, not a billboard. Anything with a web link, an email address, a phone number or scam wording is blocked automatically.
Stars have to match the words
“Terrible, it crashes constantly” with five stars is a bot filling in a form at random. When the rating disagrees with the text, we hold the review back.
You can report one
Spotted something that looks fake? Hit Report. Enough reports and the review comes straight off the page until Olly has checked it.
We don't delete bad reviews
Low ratings stay up. The only reviews we remove are fake ones, adverts and anything unsuitable for a game played by kids.
Your details stay private
We never publish your email or IP address — in fact we never store your IP address at all, only a scrambled one-way code of it that's used to spot repeat posters and nothing else.
